We had sirens going off everywhere and a search helicopter overhead about a month ago. But it ended up just being a search for a Subway Sandwich shop robber who happened to have 3 strikes with robbery, and also stole a car. He posed no threat to society other than carrying an unloaded gun for the heck of scaring people when he robbed the shops. So I wouldn't worry too much...

Hehe, one time when we lived near Chicago, this guy shot a person 3 blocks from our house, and there were police helicopters and dogs and everything. And the guy ran through our back yard.

speaking of helicopters, I was a Brownie in girlscouts, and we were having a meeting in our school. SUddenly all these ambulences, polce cars and ambulences appeared in the playground. Turns out it was an emergency landing from Brazil
