tatoos usually appear more like dirty patches to me; I'm not prone to looking closely enough. I sort of view the body and human form as a whole, and tatoos sort of break it up, to me. Most piercings enhance it, but tatoos appear more removed, somehow.
So no, I don't plan on getting one.
hope ya enjoyed my inane rambling on the subject lol

I have two, and I might be getting two more in a few weeks. My current tatts- ^ Same design on bottom of wrist. The new ones I'm thinking would be a treble clef on my right forearm, near my elbow, and a bass clef on the same place on my left arm. I'd also like an agnostic creed, daffodil, and a pinup in the next five-ten years.

nice tatoos, skylarking ... is the first one a Celtic knot? I can't quite tell ... I think I can understand why some people don't like tatoos ... It really does depend on the person whether they look decent, too ... Besides Scott's Cross, I want to get the Polish Eagle flag on the back of my neck, "Freedom Fighter" tattoed between my shoulderblades, the Anarchy symbol on the inside of my wrist with "I am freedom" written under it, the top portion of a dagger over my heart so it appears to be going under the skin, and tatooed barbed wire that wraps around my ankle ... first i need to save up a crapload of money, heh... I'm obsessed with tatoos... Polish Eagle Flag: Anarchy symbol:

Yes'm, it's a Celtic knot, for my Scottish heritage. My mom has one similar, but we're planning on getting matching tattoos in the near future. I'm also planning to get Freya, a Norse goddess, tattoo. Maybe on a shoulder blade or forearm. I like this picture-

I am Norweigan/Scottish. I've already accomplished the Scottish, and I'm working on the Norweigan- the Norse Goddess. I also have tiny slivers of Swiss-French and either German or Russian (my great grandma wasn't and isn't entirely sure, long story) but I deem them unworthy of tattoo space. Also because I can't think of what to do, besides flags, but those are of course lame.

I don't know about an anarchy symbol for a tattoo. The idea of full anarchy is unknown to most of the 12 year old girls [talking to no one in this thread] who run around putting it on everything, and it's so commercialized. I could walk into a clothing store and buy a shirt with the symbol already printed on it.
My point to that ramble- think long and hard before tattooing a political symbol onto you.
Also, the crazy guy who used to live in my grandma's driveway made a tattoo machine and tattooed an anarchy symbol on his ankle. He was incredibly gifted with anything mechanical.

that's awesome i'm not planning on having just an anarchy symbol on me, i'm more creating a symbolistic tattoo that has the symbol in it, maybe not to obvious, but i'm just trying to create a tattoo that symbolistic to my personality and beliefs, something that will mean something to me for my armlett i'll prob go with a celtic design so i can REPRESENT my irish and scottish heritege, and the fact i lived there for 2 years and lost an irish girlfriend. so it'll represent a lotta **** don't know what i'm gonna do about my 50% of spanish blood yet tho...hmmmm

.... i only want the Anarchy tatoo because it's something I've believed in for a long time, before I even knew it was a "punk" thing .... I drew a tatoo up of the Anarchy symbol surrounded by a spiderweb with 13 lines -- The Anarchy symbol signifying freedom, the web signifying the trap life has become, and the 13 lines because of 13 being "unlucky" -- showing that I want to be free but I'm unluckily trapped in the web of lies that make up the world.

that's pretty awesome.
Apparently in italy there's an Anarchy party. That's what my government teacher said. I was like, "...that's fiddlesticksing awesome." So i wanted to make a T-shirt that said "I'm the president of the Anarchy party" hehehe.
I've been an Anarchist for a very long time. I didn't chose Anarchy as a punk thing, but i found that it is what my beliefs tend to linger around.

That's very awesome that you two actually know what you're talking about and you're not just trying to be trendy. I figured as much. I personally lean more towards Socialism than anthing, and if I feel strongly about it in the future, you just may see me with a red flag tattooed somewhere. hehe socialism There's a similar one about Anarchy I'll post a link to if neither of you are offended by naughty language.
