Thanks. I've been arrested for running away twice now. And then I've been arrested for a few other things. I think the whole running away thing being against the law is ridiculous. But whatever.

agreed. if you really don't want to live at home, you shouldn't have to. But hey, there are a lot of stupid laws...being as we have a stupid government...

This is true. I wish that I could at least legally live with a relative other than my parents without having to get them to consent to it.

how old are you? I think for an emancipation your parents don't have to agree. You just have to prove to a lawyer or court or something that your living situations are not 'ideal' or 'healthy' for your well being

I'll be 16 the end of May. But I looked into emancipation, due to the fact that I have a record, the law is no longer on my side. Plus I'd have to prove I have a stable income, which I don't.

Thanks. I'm not sure how much things would vary from state to state though. I was looking, and it seems as if I would actually have to be living away from my parents for some time before I went to court about emancipation. Though maybe I'm just not taking that correctly. And if I were to go to court about it, my parents could contest, which I'm sure they would...and I'm not sure what would happen then. www.lsc-sf.org/problems/emancipation.html
