I've been trying; I've been more outgoing than ever before, I've been being myself, but it's just no use: people don't like me. People don't want to know me. Sure some people from buckwild and the like enjoy my company if we've gotten together for some other reason, but they don't want to just hang out with me just because; they'd never seek me out. And once Charlie decided it was hopeless for getting in my pants, he disappeared from being my friend.

I dunno what to do. It IS me. it's not being shy; it's not highschool cliques; it's not a past... it's me. It's my personality.

I can't say what your RL personality is, seeing as I don't know know you IRL. However, Peg, you just started at a new school. I'm sure you could find a multitude of people feeling just how you are. I doubt anyone starts in college without worrying how s/he'll make friends. Besides that, I'm sure everyone is really busy with classes, especially since they just started. Give it some time. I hope things work out for you.

and being as we're in the same boat: being a freshman at a new college, i can see what you mean. I made what i thought was a group of friends. Turns out the only thing they want from me is to get in my pants because i'm 'cute'. Now that ive turned them down, they don't care whether i'm there or not.

I think that once you really get into the major you've chosen, like after the core courses and stuff, you'll really find a group of people that will become your friends.

Keep your head up. You seem like a wonderful person to me.

I am feeling better now though. There are a couple people who enjoy my company now for me, even though one of them is... Charlie lol.
And I just signed up for a couple clubs, so once they start up, things should definitely be better.
I'm very optimistic

especially considering that thing that happened that I only disclosed through PM.
