so yesterday there was a really bad car accident in a neighboring county. 6 people, aged 12-25, died in it. The car was just... unrecognizable. And the dump truck they hit had the hood torn in half; it looked like a razor hit it.
apparently the 25 year old was driving the 5 teens/preteen up to go swimming from their summer camp. 2 people called 911 to report her for wreckless driving and speeding that day, and she almost hit a tractor trailer earlier. She was going around 95 mph when she veered into the left land and hit the on-coming dump truck. She was driving on a suspended license with no insurance...
I just felt like sharing because it's so shocking to me. What sort of camp owner would let 5 kids, boarding in her care, just jump in the car with someone with a record like that?! Don't you think she'd check to make sure she had such essentials as a license and insurance? Idiot better be ready to sell her camp; she's gonna be sued so fast it'll make her head spin. She lost her own son in the accident, but it's a little late for that lesson now.
And what kind of psycho moron drives like that with kids in the car?! Ugh. Horrible story...

That is terrible. I don't know, in every school or youth related avtivity I've ever vbeen in, drivers have to go through a pretty tough screening.

Doesn't look like she went through any screening, obviously. I see the owner of the camp at great fault, but it's sort of hard to be too angry at her since her kid died in it too

it's always bad when there's such obvious 'don't do that's' but people do it anyways and think it'll be better by saying 'i shouldn't have...'

last night there was a motorcycle wreck just up the road from here (like a half mile from where I work). 2 dead
it seems like there's been an unusually high number of accidents nearby this month...

Ugh, I cant even think about it. Wrecks REALLY bother me...Almost everyone I know who has died has died in a car wreck...You never know when you get in a car, if today is your day. You dont think about that when you get in the car...Tonight as we go to bed, could be our last night in our bed...I know I'm going off on rant kind of...but oh well. Its been almost a year since I've lost two friends and every day I think...OMGOSH! Sarah and Alan are gone...forever...I have issues with death...not understanding it. I know it sounds awful, but I wish I could watch a replay of thier wrecks...to understand better I guess....what were thier last thoughts...did they know they were dieing?....and the motorcycle wrecks...ugh I'm not gonna go there....

I know This winter that time I was driving EXTREMELY wrecklessly... and I was SO lucky that nothing happened... that's when I resolved never to drive like that again. I mean, you can't just hide from it entirely, but you can be careful. That's when I decided there must be some divinity watching out for me, and that little scratch was a warning...

some girl at my school this past year invited her 'college boyfriend' to homecoming and they came in his corvette. Wanting to look all cool and stuff and show how he's so much better than high school kids, he wanted to peel out of his parking spot and take off. He forgot to put his car in reverse, though, and peeled forewards right into a tree. As you know, corvettes have a crap load of power. He was taken out by life support to a near by hospital and was in critical condition. i never found out if he lived or not. But it was one of those things that was really sad but i couldn't stop laughing when told..
same as a guy that owns a liquor store up my street was on a boat with a girl, not his wife, nor anyway related, but was sleeping with her on his boat at midnight. Well, another guy was BUI (boating under the influence) and crashed into their boat and killed them both. They both died naked. Another story that sucked, but i was rolling around on the floor laughing my butt off....
edit: i almost forgot the best one. My friend's friend is a huge risk taker kind of person. Over spring break he was in....kansas i think....and was going out for a run with his friend next to some rail road tracks. They saw the train coming and waited till it was pretty close and the kid said he could beat the train across the train tracks. Let's just say....he didn't...
