There might've been a Summer in my NY elementary school, but there were also about 4 Ericas.

I know, like, two of each and there are 600 at my school.
600 people of various names, that is.

My parents were going to name me Justin or Andrew Lee. Andrew from my maternal great grandfather, Lee from my father's middle name. Justin was just something that they liked.
My mother loved Bewitched and Who's the Boss?, so I got stuck with Samantha. My dad liked Nicole, so he threw that in there.

I think the most popular name in my school is ... well it's got to be Amanda. That, or Lauren/Laura/Laurie ... anything with Laur-
Now, my name was going to be Cassandra, or Samantha, mainly because my mom liked the nicknames Sam and Cassie (lame?).
Then my mom named me Christa after Christa Mcauliffe, or however you spell her name, the astronaut-teacher-person ... (sorry, I haven't studied her since 2nd grade!)
But I would die to be legally named Mysta. Even though it's apparently a guys' name. Go figure.
