So there's this guy and we are talking. Anyways, my parents don't know him, but they completely hate him. Why? Because he's half-black. He's the sweetest, kindest guy, but nope, not good enough. I have to "consider my reputation" because it's suppossedly a bad thing that I talk to him. They might make us stop, and I'll be pissed. He keeps bringing it up, and it's starting to annoy me. Any help?

wow, that's ridiculous what should you care about your reputation according to racists?!
I dunno how to help you convince your parents to let you see him though... Maybe have him over one night and meet your parents, like for dinner, so they can see for themselves that he's a good guy.

Yeah, only problem is he lives 3 hours away. He keeps bugging me to talk to them. His new favorite line is, "I can't help the way I was born!" I know that. But whatever.
Oh, and my mom was like, "You know we are not racists." But I really don't know what to say about that one. Besides, he lookes white.

So did they like outright say they don't want you to see him because he's half black, or did they make another excuse and you're assuming that? Or both?
but then again, maybe it'd just be easier to let it go; long-distance relationships are kinda sucky.
