first off i would like to say a few things on where i stand. for one thing i am all for what we are doing in Iraq and i also think that in some cases capital punishment is necessary.
now on to the debate i just saw on the news that a Muslim working with the taliban admitted to plans of crashing a plan into the white house on September 11. but as we all know he never did. now people are talking about giving him the death penalty because of it. i think that they shouldnt be allowed to do that because for one he admitted to it and he also never went through with it and no one was killed. I do think that he should still go to prison but capital punishment is too much.
does anybody agree with me?

I think executing someone for a crime they didn't commit (even if they were planning to) is too much, although he should definitely go to jail.
