The boy of my dreams is standing next to me,
But he doesn't seem to see that we're ment to be.
There he is, as wonderful as the stars in the sky.
His wavy black hair and his baby blue eyes
Make my thoughts of him linger.
The promise ring on his finger
And the Christian t-shirts he wears
Shows me that he cares
About saving himself for the girl with who he's meant to be.
Dear God, I pray, please let that girl be me.
The boy of my dreams is standing next to me.
He doesn't even notice that we're meant to be.
I wonder if he's even thought if I'm the one.
I already know that he's my only one.
He wears a promise ring on his hand
That proves just where he stands.
I'm pretty sure he's never been kissed
And I know he's never been involved in a physical bliss.
He has wavy black hair and baby blue eyes
That are as magnigicent as the stars in the sky.
He's everything I want in a man
And I hope that he's in God's plan
For my future mate.
He's never been on a date,
Or even held a girl's hand.
That silver band
On his finger
Proves that his thoughts do not linger
On things their not suppossed to.
I know he's saving himself for the girl with whom he's suppossed to be.
