So like for a month it was fine and all of a sudden your head exploded? Kinda weird. And it sounds like it shouldn't have been a surprise that it'd start reverting back to normal.
You should have had some straightening products, or ones to make curls pretty, on hand

Embrace your curliness. Go to a drug store and pick up some Frizzease, I believe it's called, and let your hair be curly, but reduce the frizz.

y'all have noooo idea what i go through when my hair is curly. I have a LOOOTTTT of hair. All of the stylists ive been to have said that they have never seen some one with so much hair. Its sooo thick. Also, my mom refuses to let me buy hair stuff. I do have straightner, gel, heat protection spray, and hair spray, but its by some crappy generic thing and it turns my hair into straw. A big bale of hay if you ask me...except its brown. No matter what I do im going to be ugly. I might as well give up, crawl in a whole, and die.

Oh stop making such a huge deal about it. It's hair, not the end of the world. You're not the only person with hair issues, so stop acting like it.
There are so many things you can do with your hair, and *gasp* you could get it professionally styled for grad. Or do something as simple as a french braid or twists going into a bun or half-bun that would still look fine.

You can get your hair thinned, you know.
I know a lot of people with really long, really thick, really curly hair, and they don't feel like it ruins their lives. Also, if you're 18, why are you letting your mom stop you from buying hair products?
this is a complete overreaction. Get it thinned, cut it short, be an adult and get your own products. And stop putting so much stock in your hair and looks; that just makes you less attractive anyway

*takes deep breaths* Unlike some people, I CARE what I look like. Esp. around people I want to find me attractive. I know that real beauty is on the inside, but peole aren't going to be drawn to someone who looks like she's Frankensteins daughter. Call me a prep, call me a freak, call me a drama queen, call me what ever the - you want to i dont care.

I do care about how I look, but not to the point that I have a panic attack over it.

At least, not after he rebuckles his belt. And, as we said, there are plenty of ways to control your hair. I notice you conveniently ignored that. Stuff like this makes me so happy to think of waking up next to my boyfriend, hair in disarray and a little greasy, stubbly legs and armpits, unbrushed teeth, and smudged mascara, and know that he cares even less than I do and doesn't love me any less.

meh; I get sensitive about my hair too (last time I got an actual cut I cried for quite some time) I'm glad prom worked out though.. you're lucky you could get an appointment if you hadn't made it earlier @_@
my stylist called me like 2 weeks ago saying she only had 2 appointments for prom day left, since she knew I'd want one. And my prom isn't until june 3...
