my earring is infected I think... out of all the peircings I have the one that is hardest to see is the one that gets infected... figures... ok but I finally found a way to look at it... and there is this huge bump right next to the back of the earring... ouch... so I don't know if it's the earring that caused it or what!?! err...

Yeah, I ws scared at first, but I found out that they go away, so I left it alone and it did. Don't pop it, and if you're that worried about it, go to a doctor and have it checked out. |

It could just be keloid scarring, which won't go away.
Also, it sounds like your piercing is just irritated, not infected. The two are commonly mixed up.

It could just be keloid scarring, which won't go away. well, I think it depends on if it's squishy-ish or hard. If it's hard, than it's most likely keloid scarring, but if it feels like a liquid in inside of it, than it could be a cyst,...I think that's right... |

eh... well I haven't had any problems with anything else... my lip rings hurt... but they didn't get infected (luckily!)I dunno either!

i've gotten those kinds of bumps before, and i got sick of feeling it there so i stabbed it with a sewing needle ... this greenish sticky stuff came out ... delightful, huh? so my best advice is to stab it and see what happens ... sterilize the needle w/alcohol first.
