Should this have gone in art perhaps? Or mental health, lol...
I'm just wondering what your thoughts on it art; particularly those of you who are more interested in body modification.
And for those who don't know what I'm talking about, it's the removal of skin in patterns and such that will later result in visible scars in those patterns.
I personally think the visual effect can be really interesting and sometimes attractive, but it's so extreme that it kinda freaks me out. And I'm not one for expressing myself through body mods anyway, so that increases that feeling a bit.

I love them! I'd much rather get one then a tattoo...but I'm too much of a wimp. They can look really cool....but like everythine...can look really bad too

I think scarification is cool...I like it better than tattoos. For some reason, it seems like it'd be more expressive than getting a tattoo too...though I can't explain my reasoning behind thinking that. Heh.

wow, sounds awesome ... i have a lot of scars from various things, and i like them even though they're not in a specific pattern, lol ... i'd like to get that done, maybe get one that looks like the Anarchy symbol on my inner arm ... *ponders* i really like the idea of it though.

it seems more natural than getting a tatoo; that makes it appear more personal to me. It's like... that's all you, and you can never hide it.

I think scars are very beautiful, and I've been considering getting the agnostic creed...scarified...instead of tattooed.
You have to be really picky about who does it, and doing it amaturely, except with a cauter pen, is pretty stupid.

i've looked into scarification, but i'm not sure i could take the pain. i might be able to, but i'm not sure. i think that if i can take the pain for an armlett tattoo which is what i really want right now, then i may have a scare one done.
