so right now, what matters to you guys most in choosing a college? status/selectivity? price? expertise? location? christian emphasis? something else?
my main criteria was high selectivity and liberal arts... that second part was pretty important too. I mean, MIT is pretty darn selective but it sure wouldn't fit me lol

Mine would be location and price. I don't come from a family with a lot of money, so I have to take it all into my own hands. I wouldn't pick a crappy school because it was the cheapest, of course, but it is a main concern of mine.

location was fairly important to me too, but I was willing to go up to 5 or 6 hours away. there's just so many schools here in the northeast... all the ivy leagues, most of the "little ivies," NY has great state universities, penn state, virginia, MIT RIT RPI... I had a lot of options lol
my family's been having sort of money issues too, since my dad lost his job over a year ago. But they decided it was worth it for me to go to a real name brand school, and expected me to get some scholarships and a lot of need-based money (which happened), and so they took out the home equity loan and hoped for the best lol

I have a plan right now, but it could easily change in the year and a half I have left of high school. I plan to do the four year baccalaureate degree in nursing at Selkirk College. For the first two and a half years you are a Selkirk student and the last year and a half you are a University of Victoria student, but your courses are done at Selkirk.
This would be awesome for me because I'm only 45 minutes away from Selkirk, and I could live at home to cut down on costs. Maybe. There are kinks, such as the distance, my lack of money and car, and the fact that I have to prove myself mentally and emotionally fit. I am, but I doubt I could explain some things during the physical.
Eh, I'll stop rambling now.

football team. lol. thats why my dad wants me to go to UGA. I am going because of the veterinary studies it has. Its a pretty good school. I have a full scholarship that includes books and boarding, so Im not worried about cost at all.
