So I got a package in the mail today from school.
Dear Principal's List Award Winner,
Congratulations! You have averaged 86% or higher based on all of the courses you completed in the 2004-05 school year and as a result you have qualified for the year end Principal's List. Enclosed with this letter is a certificate to recognize your achievement. Once again, congratulations on a great year!
Sincerely, [scriblescribble] Brian DeBiasio Principal, LV Rogers Secondary School
Ha! Now here's where it really gets funny.

You have scored in the top 30% of your grade 11 or 12 class or in the top 35 students in your grade 10 class based on the best 5 courses and as a result have been awarded a Passport to Education award for the 2004-05 school year. The Grade 10 award is $250, the Grade 11 award is $225, and the Grade 12 award is $275.
The school has placed the appropriate sticker in your Passport to Education booklet and will store them in your school file. Gra........
Once again, congratulations on a great year.
Sincerely, [scriblescribble] Brian DeBiasio Principal, LV Rogers Secondary School

Ha, no. Like I said, I really don't deserve it. I'm a totally average student and wouldn't be in the top 35 witout being in the music program. I feel guilty for the people who actually tried in school but didn't get in, thanks to people like me.

Cream rises; the kids who REALLY deserved it probably did get it, and you only bumped the borderlines.
