I'm so going to start saying "that's straight" or "that's hetero" because it just flat out annoys me when people say "thats so gay!" so next time, I'm going to say "thats so hetero/straight!"

I've actually been saying that for quite awhile, among other things. For instance, in woodwork class last semster:
Brendan-"Man, this table's so gay."
Me-"Wow, I didn't know tables could a sexual preference. Thanks for enlightening me."
I also hate the whole "That's so retarded" thing. And the "That's so Jewish". Of course, I'm a little pickier with the gay thing.

It makes no more sense to say "that's so straight" than it does to say "that's so gay". Or, does homophobia make sense to you? Be replacing stupid, idiotic, messed up, etc, with gay or f**, you're just contributing to the hate in the world. It may mean nothing to you when you say it, but to someone struggling with his/her sexuality, it can mean a LOT. Try to think outside the box, 'kay? |
