So, I might try this again. Anyone have anything they want to ask me? (Especially about Christianity and things like that.)

Explain how the Crusades were justified by Christianity. They weren't. I'm a Christian and I DO NOT agree with them. Oh, and I think you mean "Christianity" not Christianity. I think the people who went and the people who wanted the Crusades had no interest in converting anyone.

On the contrary, they did want to convert people, they just did it in a not-nice way. It's easily justifiable by the Bible, too. But then, so was slavery. I heart the Bible.

On the contrary, they did want to convert people, they just did it in a not-nice way. Tell that to my history teacher. The Koran maybe, but not the Bible that I know of. Since this is getting a tad off topic, would you mind PMing me please if you want to respond to this post? I just don't want to start a debate about Crusades on my thread. Actually, slavery was different back then. Sometimes people would go into slavery just to pay off their debts. The Bible, as far as I know, says for slaves to obey their masters. And it makes sense. You earn the respect of your master, and your time in slavery is easier. What's to gain by antagonizing someone who is in charge over you? Me, too. Anyone else? Edit: Oh come on! There has gotta be more people with questions!....

Yay! J/w..how would you explain the book of Ecclesiastes? hmmm...I'm not quite there in my Bible nightly Bible reading, but just by looking at it, it looks like a book that talks about the meaning of life, and how it's meaningless apart from God. I'm open to some other input about this.

Ok, what is your opinion on the necessity of baptism? Well, God requires us to do it. When you get baptized you're announcing publicly that Jesus is your Lord. But, I don't believe you need to be baptized in order to go to Heaven. It's necessary, but not necessary to go to Heaven.

Women pastors: yes or no? I personally say no. Granted, women do great things in the church, but I don't think a woman belongs as a pastor. Anything below a pastor is fine. I was reading an article about them in Time magazine, and it seemed that many of them are rather liberal, and most of the congregation is made up of women! I think it's because men and women will follow a man, but almost only women will follow another woman.

How do you feel about the fact that the celebrations of Christmas and Easter take place around the time of similar pagan festivals, even borrowing many aspects from them? Do you feel this in any way threatens Christianity?

How do you feel about the fact that the celebrations of Christmas and Easter take place around the time of similar pagan festivals, even borrowing many aspects from them? To be honest, I don't really care. I know why I celebrate Christmas and Easter, and it has nothing to do with paganism. Not the fact that they have pagan similiarities. If anything, I think overcommercializing the holidays can cause people to lose sight of the Christian reason for those holidays.
